A College Rejection Letter Looks on the Bright Side

One of the most important things in life is learning how to deal with rejection, something those of us here at the Office of Undergraduate Admissions know a thing or two about. Remember: if you can’t get over the bitterness of receiving a rejection letter, just do what President Barack Obama did after two years at Occidental College — transfer. We are giving you the opportunity to start your life journey at a less prestigious intuition than Harvard, which will make your almost certain rise to success even more dramatic. It also provides another chapter for your memoir: “When I Decided That Enough Was Enough and Applied to Harvard Again.”
